WHAT KIND OF STORY DO YOU WANT TO TELL?
I’VE ALWAYS BEEN A STORYTELLER
I grew up creating videos with my older brother on our family’s giant camcorder—no really, it was basically as big as I was. I sang and danced in musical after musical. And I went on to study theatre and communications as an undergrad at Northwestern.
And now, as I spend the majority of my time intricately moving objects across a screen and taking hundreds of photos to create a single video, I honestly couldn’t be more thrilled because it’s all part of bringing a story to life.
I created my first stop motion video with my super professional webcam back in the day, and once I saw the final product, I was completely hooked. I’ve since upgraded my camera (thank goodness!) and now create stop motion animation work for a variety of brands, nonprofits, and documentaries. I also teach stop motion workshops for team building activities or for anyone who wants to have fun learning a new skill.
As a stop motion artist, digital content strategist, teacher, and a former actor and sign language interpreter, clear communication and powerful storytelling has always been at the heart of what I do. I’m thrilled to be able to use my past experience and my passion for telling meaningful stories in my stop motion work today,
In my spare time, you can find me taking jumping pics, practicing American Sign Language, and singing in my living room—good thing my neighbors don’t seem to mind!
